Hi there! I’m Jules, a software developer who recently moved to Canada from a European country where tipping isn’t really a thing.
Adjusting to the North American tipping culture, especially for beauty services, was quite an experience. I realized that figuring out the right amount to tip can be a bit confusing and stressful, especially if you’re new to it like I was.
Why I Created Beauty Tip Calc
During my first few months here, I found myself constantly worried about tipping too much or too little at hair salons, spas, and even dog grooming services.
I noticed that many people around me seemed to have the same concern.
That’s when I had a lightbulb moment – why not create a simple tool to take the guesswork out of tipping?
